Tea Master – Mr. Wong Kam Chi
Wong Kam Chi, a Malaysian expatriate born in 1942 in Hoi An, Quanzhou, moved to Hong Kong with his family in 1972. Throughout the 1990s, Hip Woo Tea House launched 12 different styles of golden packed commodity: “Jinling, Twelve Beauties of Main Register, is a tea product that comes in twelve different styles and flavors, each packaged in a golden container.” and became the general agent of Wuyishan Rock Tea General Factory in Hong Kong.
Wong Kam Chi has decades of outstanding performance in overseas trade, production, and acquisition of Wuyi rock Tea, Tie Guanyin, Fujian White Tea, Wuyi Black Tea, Sri Lankan Black Tea, and Pu’er Tea. Through friendly cooperation with well-known businesses and tea brands in Southeast Asian countries and regions such as Hong Kong, Macau, Taiwan, Singapore, Malaysia, and Japan, he has created many famous legends in the tea industry. Kou Dan, a famous tea aficionado, praised him, saying: “Mr. Wong Kam Chi has devoted his life to tea, and his merit is a model for tea enthusiasts around the world.”
